Hello,

I currently have a Celestron CG-5 but am considering another
Upgrade. I had at one time an Eq-6 (Atlas) and it performed quite well but proved to be too heavy for me.

The IEQ45 looks interesting but not sure about the quality

My load capacity will probably be now more than 25lbs
8 inch SCT Guide scope 5 lbs Cameras My imaging scale can be very low at times 1 arcsec/pixel with the sct focal reduced by 6.3. Most times however I would be using My ED80 and Guide scope so even less weight or SN-6 and Guide scope

I was planning on buying used Losmandy GM8 or a new IEQ45

Would the PE of the Losmandy be much better than the IEQ45
or is that information avalable

Thanks

Greg

Wow this appears to be the mount that I wished Meade would have sponsored! The heated hand controller is a great idea! I'm a little suspicious of the flimsy looking tripod spreader. I hope Joe at Astrozap has an eyepiece tray and accessory tray/spreader in the works!
