Painting landscape is a hobby of mine (you can check out my art blog at: http://autumnglade.blogspot.com/), but I had never painted a nocturne before.

As an astronomer, it only makes sense to paint a scene like this - enjoy!

Actually, it's an acrylic painting. I tried oils years ago, but I never had much like with them, so I went back to acrylics.

Glad you folks like it, especially considering how hard it is to get a decent photo of a dark painting.
