Jupiter. Both this post and last post of Mars are about 1200 stacked frames in Registax 6 and then touched up a bit in PS CS5

Nice, although red a bit :) Which Firefly MV camera do you have - the 0.3MPix 752 x 480?

Thanks. Yes thats the one 0.3MP 752X480. Maybe the "red" suits the mars image better?

I hope you don't mind me playing with your image in GIMP?

Thanks claytonbigwood. I really like what you did in GIMP. What did you do in GIMP that I could do the same in PS CS5? You preserved the colour detail well. Thanks

Yes you can use CS5 to the same effect.
I mainly just balanced the histogram for each channel until I got the desired colour balance and upped the saturation a tad.

Here is my attempt at better color balance in CS5. Looking better than original for sure and approaching yours.

Thanks Asimov. From the same night Feb 9th I tried the 3X with this result. Obviously not quite as crisp but more scale.

Very nice!

That seems like an interesting camera!
Does it also do long exposures?

Hi there!
I've read about the ASCOM driver that allows longer exposures with this camera.

Has anyne tried it with any other software besides PHD?
