I so wish, plant firing up 4 new jobs , no observing for a while, of course as soon as things slow down ,itll be cloudy....hehehehehehe

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum; out of work and plenty of time to do late night observing sessions. I just need the weather to cooperate with me.

Geez, Zach. That's no fun. I hope you get back to the living soon. Have you considered moving to find a position?

Thanks! Yeah its been a drag, but I just got to keep my head up.
Luckily I have many things to take my mind off of the daunting job hunting task.

A majority of the jobs I've applied for are out of state.I would like to get into the aerospace or related industry. I've applied to a total of 66 jobs as of today. Which encompasses 15 states, and 3 other countries. Looking for a job is a full time job in it self. :tonofbricks:

That's very encouraging. A lot of people looking for work don't want to move and that severly limits options. Any nibbles?

I love Ohio and would stay if I could. I would prefer to stay east of the Mississippi if I can. I would love to move to Florida. I have a lot of family down there, but I'll go wherever work can be found/.

I've had two interviews for different jobs at Chesapeake Energy. No luck with either.

I'm hopeful one of these Aerospace companies takes a chance a mining engineer like myself. I'm still optimistic. :)

I wish you the best too, Zach. I have a good feeling though that your education and experience will eventually land you a good position. The job search is really tough these days, but being young and skilled is very desirable to employers.

Wow Zach.. didn't know about the job situation (I have not been keeping tabs like I should on the thread). Glad you are having a positive outlook.

I have been pretty darn busy with the band I am in. We have our first gig Saturday night if you guys want to watch. The venue is full, but you can watch it via live streaming. You will also be able to post comments that will be displayed on monitors at the venue which will be weird.

Still doing Astronomy and Atm'ing once skies clear and it gets warmer. I didn't get the garage done in time to allow myself the ability to be in the garage during the winter time. :coldday:

I like the set list Jason. I decided new years to start playing my bass again. Several of your tunes are on my list. Got 10 down already.

Scott,

Great to hear you are back to playing the bass. As I practice more, I am getting better everyday. Having fun (but man is it alot of work). This is a private party hosted by the band to get a video produced and get our name out. We have 100 people coming. Hopefully it will spawn more gigs down the road. Who knows?!? Some of the things going for us is that the folks in the band have been playing a long time and have contacts in the industry.

:praying:

I am just having fun. If I make some money doing it, even better!!

:band:

Well, I'm spending the night in sparkling downtown Douglas, GA at its Super 8 motel - the van threw a belt (alternator, which also drives the vacuum pump [Power brakes]), and while I have all the spares, I couldn't budge one of the bolts...so I limped in here...trailer's heavily loaded, so it helped the braking. I found a place to fix Monday. A Walmart is conveniently next door, and there are a lot of eateries, so I'm set.

That's a drag Unc. Glad you were able to make it to a convenient spot.

We blew a brake line last year and were able to limp into the next town and pull in a grocery store parking lot before I would have had to stop like Fred Flintstone.

There was a NAPA across the street and an hour later we were back on the road. :praying:
