I'm going back to my non-elitist roots. Sold off all of the Takahashi telescopes and now have only the Astrotech ED65EDQ (65mm refractor) and AT12RC (12" Ritchey-Chretien reflector) as imaging platforms. Sold the Takahashi mount and will be replacing it with something of equally humble origins as soon as it arrives. My hope is that it will start to be fun again.

Don't let John kid you Andy. He's putting the 12" and the 65 on a beefed up LXD55. :ubetcha:

I know this to be true :graduate:

Hey, I had an LXD55 in there before; there should be a photo around here somewhere. A Vixen Sensor mount is another possibility...

There was a time when the LXD55 was all the buzz. I still have 2

I'm thinking A 20 ft. tall scope may present some portability and storage problems.

I don't mind tall telescopes - and the garage is much taller than 20 feet!

Hello Hello.

I had first light the other night with my new Celestron Edge HD 8". I consider it to be a decent first light considering I was only able to do 15s unguided subs. I need to get an OAG and maybe a new mount. The new mount will have to wait a while though. Anyhoo here is M42. :)

Andy- Astrobin is great, I'm glad it exists. Makes storing all my astrophot0s a lot easier. :)
