Turkey, cherry twizzlers, Yuengling, and chocolate. That's all she needs...

And she is very reluctant to share!

Happy day before Halloween gang! Hope you don't get any rocks...unless it's a nice beverage on the rocks. :)

Pot luck dinner at Crowley's here at Chiefland - steamed clams, BBQ corn, salads, cheesecake. And I ran into a Naval Academy '79 grad (a mere 15 years after me), and we compared notes on those times and those times...other, newly retired, Captains seem so YOUNG!

Uncle Rusty that's a great visit! Bet the pups got some well deserved attention since we know you don't give them enough. ;)

One of the folks here have a bearded collie and a small pomeranian mix. The little dog won't let the collie play with C & N!

Me, too, Diane. This year just hasn't felt right without BEOTS - not that we ever had an entire nice weekend in 2013, but still...
As a matter of fact, I recently viewed the photos from past years' BEOTS events. Here's an example:

You know, it's been a long time since I posted pictures here. Here is one of the Crab Nebula in narrowband. I took this over 2 separate nights to get a lot of data info into this image. It's a grand total of 3 hours of image exposure for this. I was out there last night taking the 2nd nights pictures to complete this one. I also did M74 to see how the supernova has dimmed since the other photos I took of it a couple of months ago. I'll work on that a bit later...

Now that a few months went by, I thought it's time to take another shot of that dandy supernova that appeared in M74. As you see in the photo, the left image eas taken in August when the supernova was around its brightest. Look how much dimmer it is now after 3 months.
