Now that we’re all Venus’d out, whatdawe do next? Well, I decided to try my first experience with filters using Saturn as a subject for experimentation with the effects of different tints. I found the blue and dark green very effective for differentiating structure in the belts and planetary bands, with dark yellow really making some of the nearby moons really stand out. Here is my sketch....:refractor::love:

Thats truly superb. The detail in the B ring particularly and the Equatorial Belt. I agree on your filter preferences and finds.

Really, an exquisite ob and rendering.

Ian,

Near quadrature Saturn presents a beautiful 3D view which you have expertly captured.

very nice Saturn sketch, I am big believer in aggressive use of colr filters to get the most detail on planets, nice detail bravo.
