Sagittarius brings very beautiful objects. The Lagoon Nebula is one of them.

Object Name: M 8 (NGC 6523) and NGC 6530
Location: RA 18h 04m 30.7s Dec -24º 22' 51"
Type: Emission Nebula+Open Cluster.
Constellation: Sagittarius.

Bonilla.Cuenca. SPAIN
Date: July 20, 2012
Material used: graphite pencil on white paper. Inverted image and processed with Photoshop.

Telescope: Celestron S/C 8" Mount Cgt5
Eyepiece: 31 mm Hyperion Aspheric + UHC filter. Magnification 65x
Conditions: NEML 5'64 (Chart 14 Cyg). Temperature 18ºC

Mariano, that is awesome!!! I agree with Jean, it looks like a photo. Only a good eye can pick up on the minute, almost imperceptible little things that differentiate the sketch from a photo. :waytogo:

Nice sketch marianogj! Can you tell shortly how you have processed the original sketch? Is that only a invert image or have you done also something else?

Excuse my use of language. Is google translated from Spanish.
Process:
1, Original image reversed.
2 º I cleared the bottom of the sketch with brightness levels.
3 º I have highlighted the stars using the white brush.
The sketch takes only these three processes.

Thanks! I will renew my homepages and update the sketches to reverse colours. Now they have white background. Completely black background doesn't see as realistic as background in your sketch.
