The last few are being cleared out cheap. Look in the Vendor Announcements forum. The thread says "Megasale!"

The thread was moved from here to there without leaving a pointer behind, so I'm adding this one.

Should have it within a couple of weeks, as I am presently in The United Kingdom; the delivered price here is £64 British pounds, which works out to $100.79 at todays exchange rate.

Just ordered one too. I had been on the fence about getting one but for $99 I couldn't say no, especially since is the last chance to get one.

I just ordered one through PayPal. I am somewhat concerned that the sale price of $99 was not automatically inserted into the order page. I had to put the price in myself. But so far everything else went well.

I hope this is not going to be one of those deals where you order the item, only to eventually receive an email saying that it is no longer available. I just went through that when I was trying to acquire a Pentax XO 5. Four US vendors did that to me before I finally bought one from APM in Germany.

The last few times I've gone to my dark site, I've worked entirely from SkySafari Pro on my tablet. But I couldn't pass up this opportunity to get the Great Sky Atlas at a bargain price!

Thanks for the heads up, Rick!

Mike

Until you select your country in the dropdown of the PayPal page, the fields do not fill in. The dropdown defaults to Euros I think. I did the same thing at first until I discovered the country dropdown. The system was acting squirrely until I did that. Once United States is selected, the field filled in at $99 and the payment went through.

If there is a question whether or not your sale went through, I would PM Piotr and confirm.

Jim,

The transaction details on PayPal show my correct address including country, the correct dollar amount, item purchased, and vendor name. I also received an email from PayPal verifying this information. So I'm confident everything went as it should.

The 1st of 2 of mine just arrived. Wow. It looks great. Will be spending time putting it together this weekend.

(ordered a 2nd copy to come super slow, as I know there will be a friend or two that will want this atlas)

Dave,

How long did it take for the GAS to reach your house from order to arrival?

Hmm, I think I ordered it the same day you posted about it (prior to thread getting moved). I think there was a few days of delay with it being the weekend over in Poland so he wasn't able to start getting them out till Monday. So ignoring that, 4 days to USA.

I do like the glossy paper he uses. Looks like it will hold up to dew quite well.

Amazon still wants over $250.00 for the Atlas.

Thanks for the heads up on this... I just ordered one. Not in a hurry and willing to wait, so I used the cheap delivery. I haven't had it for the first 62 years of my life, so I can wait a couple of months.

I bought my first copy one year ago at the regular price of $250. I could not resist to order now a second copy at the $99 sell-off price. Good things do not come often - it is great to have them twice :)

I'd suppose the Great Atlas is a victim of computerized atlases, but I still like "books." I guess I've gotta wait a couple of months, but looking forward to putting it together and making some acetate FOV circles...

I'm sure after waiting two months for mine, I will have forgotten about it and it will come as a complete surprise one day. I love surprises!
