I have a Celestron Black tripod, an early one that came out with the Super C8 and Super C8 Plus.
These had plastic leg clamps, with a flip lever lock.
These cracked and the replacement parts are long gone.
I went on EbAy and found clamps for a Bicycle seat
that work perfectly! they were only a few dollars and are adjustable. I just slid them up, the scope with the Blue Dynamax has them they are red. fixed for $10.00
May should have put this in the Classical section.

I forgot you have to take the rubber feet off the tripod to get them on, but they are adjustable, I actuallu locked all 3 down and put my whole body weight 6' 210lbs and they didn't slip!
If you enlarge the photo the leg to the left shows one, it is a red clamp, they fit 34.9 to 39.9
I couldn't believed how well they work. :jump:
