I just purchased a used equatorial mount for my telescope, but I also want to use it for some astrophography, which is very heavy (35 lbs). How do I tell who made the mount, because I can't find a manufacturers name plate to model number anywhere. I think it's an EQ5/EQ4.
Thank you.

You could post a picture of it. :) Could perhaps be a generic CG5/EQ5 clone mount.

Does the mount have a go-to system, dual-axis manual drives, RA-only drive, or no motors at all?

As for astrophotography, what telescope is it that you have? Do you have a camera yet? If so, what lenses do you have for your camera?
