Questiom: Will a Meade autostar 494 controler as supplied with ETX 60mm refractors work in place of the 497 controller as supplied with the DS2102 4" refractor?

I wish I had a firm answer to offer. They were supplied with earlier DS models but I can't say whether the current DS mounts have sufficient differences to goof it up.

I used the ETX80 with the 494 and the 497. My understanding is that those two autostars are interchangeable.

It should. My two DS-2000s both use the #494 controller.
