Early morning Jupiter

First shot at Jupiter. Sketched Jupiter recently. Also used color for the first time.

This sketch was through a 12 inch dob at 170x and 340x. I used the higher mag as much as the seeing would allow. I used a Meade UWA 8.8 82* eyepiece. Barlowed the same eyepiece for the higher mags.

Thanks Jean. I wanted to do something a little different than the normal circle with the bands/detail over it. So I opted for the bands that I saw then a faded look with no processing. Just something different.

Thanks, I used Strathmore drawing medium 80lb. pastel pencils and regular 4b sketching pencil. I was a little off on the polar regions. I will probably do Jupiter again. Fun object to sketch with a great amount of detail to tease out.
