2012QG42- how accurate is Stellarium?

In the past ... for objects like 2012 QG42 ... I've often had to search +/- 20 arcminutes along it's predicted path to locate the object.

Thanks, Jim I was thinking about that as well. Do you happen to know if Stellarium is supposed to take that into account? It would be nice if I could identify the problem.
When I checked the asteroid's position in both Stellarium and TheSky6 ... the difference in RA was within 3 arcminutes and the Dec under 1 minute. Not really significant.
We had some club members out at the club observatory imaging 2012 QG42 last night. They had a hard time finding it because it was pretty far off its predicted position. Not surprising ...

Using Cartes du Ciel to control an Atlas or CGEM it was
always right on the money. Centered exactly on target.
