Hi all,

A huge prom was seen on the SW limb of the sun by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory today. I got to see it some hours later with the PST about 3pm my time. Not quite the view from orbit (see Spaceweather.com for the real deal) but still impressive.

Two fine spot groups are seen in white light in good seeing also. First the H-a view:
