just the lens....Brandon 4" f=1555
wrapped metal tape around cell and dropped it in my 4" unitron
than taped it in place...no Collimation but i checked and all 3 circles were touching...not to bad but not spot on.
took it up to 222 on moon and it has great views.
this lens was made somewhere around 1948.
only a few were made.(100)
no color on moon unless i take it out of focus then
just barely.
the spacing is around a inch between crown and flint.
it needs a good cleaning and i will make a cell
to fit unitron tube.
unitron has been sitting without drawtube for a while
so i made one out of brass last week.
it was made with thick wall tubing and now its about
.030 wall and slides better than the original one.
woke up one morning and was having my coffee and
checking the bay...and there it was...buy it now.
here are a few pics.

did some modifications to an old rear unitron i bought from
brian ...AKA happy idiot.
i did a tinsley like cell as it has radius on both halves
concave and convex to help center front half of cell while
collimating optics.
here are a few parts

Great looking scope, I have a 4" ota without a lens. I should put a Jeagers lens on it and see how it looks and works. Thanks for the inspiration Brian

Hmmm. you saying you like the Brandon lens better than the Jeagers lens?
