Somebody installed them on the Yahoo group. Says they work great but are so noisy that he had to reduce the slew speed.

The replacement motor is still a 'brushed' design so will inevitably be on the loud side especially given the increased torque compared to the standard motor and indeed the existing Maxon replacement.

Does anybody know which specific Maxon model was being used by Losmandy prior to the latest change?

What do they cost? Any benefit over the previous motors?
