So I have had a few ETX90's but never a 125. I've thought about picking up a 125 because it seems to be a little more portable than an 8" sct or anything like that. My question would be then, are the motors on the 125 stronger than the 90? The 90's I've had never seemed to be strong enough to move with a dslr camera attached.

The ETX-125 has the same motors as the ETX-90.

Neither scope can handle a dSLR easily.

Thanks for the response Chris. I was hoping it would be a little better, but I guess ill have to stick to a bigger scope.

The 125 and 102 RA drives had a different design to the PCB and a loop of plastic to strengthen the drive at its connection to the worm. This loop is over stressed and often fails.
