Last night I captured yet another Uranus with the IR685 filter.
The setup is Meade LX200R 10" at FD24 with a 2x barlow, and the IDS UEye Ruby camera. Shot at 5fps for 20 minutes between 23h25 et 23h45 UT.
The seeing started quite good and degraded about mid-capture.

The image is upscalled at 150%.

Flava, how many frames do you end up stacking?

For Uranus in IR685 I stack about 5000 frames, even a bit more when I capture for 25 minutes.

Thanks, Flava.

Freddy, I believe he's using the Baader IR-Pass (correct me if I'm wrong).

Yes, it is the Baader IR685. I used it a lot this year, it is a very good filter for this planet. You can see my 2012 Uranus compilation here : http://www.cloudynig...5547783/Main...

It's a great all-round filter. A lot more light than the ProPlanet 742, with most of that light at the peak of the 618 chip sensitivity, yet it still has the advantage of "cutting" through mediocre seeing on many nights. Love that thing.
