HI!

I can only see south and a little bit of east and west from my balcony.

What is the best way to align the mount? If I try the auto two star mode the second star is behind the house!

Thank you!

David

Hi David:

First, I'd suggest you post in the "Celestron Nexstar" forum farther down the forum list. It's loaded with people that own this mount and can help you in all aspects.

As for alignment, if you use auto two-star, you don't have to accept the second star that automatically pops up. You can us the up/down keys to select a different second star that is located where you can see it.

You could also try SkyAlign which lets you aim at any 3 bright objects. However, this is less reliable than auto two star, and you have to be careful to avoid planets - despite the fact that the manual says you can use planets.
