Again a bit better seeing today,
Some outbreak visible and two bright beacons following the GRS.
The dark spot above the GRS seems to have an inner core with a darker ring around.

Superb compilation Freddy! Those closeup cutouts are great. When you had good seeing is was really good. Some of the best IR and color channels I've seen. Well done!

Wow! nice...I just moved up to a DMK21AU618. I'll have to get a IR 742 for my wheel.

I am incredibly envious and thank you for the inspiration to keep at it.

Amazing images and like alacane, I'm going to pick of an IR 742 for my wheel as well.

It's becoming more and more a full time job, processing it all, good and bad, every single capture hold a lot of valuable information for the researchers. So that's why I keep up imaging...

I have a seemingly stupid question captain obvious question (total newbie here). When you image in RRGB are you performing two passes with the R wavelength with the intent of increasing the amount of detail visible in the final image?

I'm also presuming the same with the IR sequence. It is not placed in front of the visible wavelengths to aid in stabilization of the image, but in fact as a part of the sequence for detail acquisition.

Thanks :)

No... mot that complicated, you just use winjupos and ad the extra R or IR (Image) to the RGB group, you can combine 4 channels in winjupos ! Just plain easy combining... no extra ..
I just like to play with different filter combinations and combining in Winjupos..

Thanks Freddy, I just assumed :foreheadslap: ....I'll have to try Winjupos to see the difference between that and PS.

How long are you imaging each channel? Do you use the derotate feature in winjupos?

I unfortunately have not had much luck with WinJupos, but I do attribute that to my inexperience with it and seeing conditions in my area.

It is very easy to use and its capabilities are quite powerful.

One question though: Do you perform any processing prior to combination of derotated wavelengths in WinJupos?

No I do not, the only thing I do is running the R G B in Registax to apply wavelets wavelets and then combine/running in WinJupos..
