Grey, thanks for remembering, nice serendipitous maiden capture of Lunar X! Had no idea too that the first quarter moon shot that I took also captured the elusive Lunar X and V and revisiting it, was looking for X2 as mentioned by Dave, but alas, there's no X2 here:

Good job, guys! My August Astronomy just came today and on page 14 Glenn Chaple wrote about the Lunar X, V, and Elvis. Yes, that Elvis. The King is visible in your shot, Hernando. For those without the magazine in front of them, turn the picture of the Lunar V sideways so that the V looks like a capital A. The dark inside the A is Elvis playing his guitar. Good job finding your old picture, Greyhaven!

Thanks Ken! Didn't know Elvis was hiding there in Lunar V; yes, now I see him, thanks too for the tip!

Is there a listing of dates/times for 2014? Not having much luck searching google or the forum.

But since I've asked - I've probably overlooked the obvious.

Here are my guesses. The start time is for an almost fully formed X, the end time is subjective.

I saw the lunar x today and showed it to two enthusiastic friends who were with me. It was great! I didn't know it was the right time, so I guess I got lucky
