Jupiter taken last night with Ganymede just coming our from behind Jupiter. Conditions were fair to average and not as good as Friday nights conditions were.

I also noticed the conditions had gone downhill from the previous night. But you did a good job with what we had, James.

Looks good James, you've got some nice detail there on Ganymede. I would have imaged on the 10th but I've never had the opportunity to image Ganymede and I couldn't image on two nights in a row so I went for the 11th. The funny thing is that the upper level winds at the 300mb level were very weak at around 20 knots and the humidity was high but still the seeing was only fair. I guess there are other factors that go into good seeing that I'm not aware of. Mike Phillips mentioned an indicator of seeing called the "Lifted Index"; I'll think I'll check that out tomorrow.

James, excellent Ganymede detail especially for the conditions. Thanks for posting
