...of Guy Ottewell's astronomical calendar were a bit premature. I was glad to receive notice that my order shipped today. Hope it won't be his last effort.

Excellent news! I'll be ordering one shortly; now that I know they are available!

I certainly hope this won't be the last one!

That is correct this is his last year. Guy had put out a request for anyone that would be interested in helping him work on the calendar early this year and I dropped an email stating I would be happy to help out. He responded and declined as this was his last year (2013). So enjoy, as it is bound to be a classic.

This decision must have been made before this statement.

Maybe he has changed his mind since I talked with him earlier this year. Let's hope!

Bringing this up again, Reflector, the Astronomical League's Magazine, has a two page (pgs 10 & 11) write up on Guy Ottewell and the Astronomical Calendar. He says the "Astronomical Calendar 2014 will return to the letter-size format of the first." So it sounds as if the Calendar will live another year or more just in a different format. :)

Too bad the editors/proofreaders missed the front page error, Interview with Gay Ottewell, instead of Guy.
