Hi.

Did you see the monster this morning !!! Beautiful and a real challenge to draw. But I'm glad the weather was nice and to be able to sketch it at 300X to capture all the majesty of this impressive prom.

My conditions get worst after I finished my first sketch, the atmosphere started boiling...

Andre, I wish I knew something of the sun to discuss your observations. Truth is, I know very little. Well, I know it's pretty hot. Still, I am just awe struck by your work.

Your first pic shows one really nice prominence. Man, better turn my cell phone off before that storm hits Earth. Right?

These are amazing! How do you draw such fine detail in the prominence and surface? Is the coloring done digitally?

Thanks my friend. That was fun to sketch. I like when there is that much action.

Thank you for your support and comments. I appreciate. The power of the Lunt LS152 is the secret of these details I can see at 300X.

As for the detail about my technique, please refer to this link of my first sketch.

And here how to make them colorized.

Hi.

I got the big prom liftoff !!! Superb. Even with much more magnification because of bad conditions, it still very impressive and large.

Andre.

Terrific Andre! I'll be posting my shot of this monster lifting off in just a moment. It was fun to watch, only wish I had my big rig set up so I could have done a video!

Fantastic Andre. Had some company over then setup quickly and got the end of it. Really amazing sketch. Love it.

Andre,

Impressive capture of the prom and lift off and very well rendered.

FYI, this type of solar prom phenomenon is called a disparition brusque.
