IC405 and AE Aurigae - The Flaming Star

Here's an image I shot from the Negev Desert Thus. before last.
Seeing was just wonderful – perhaps one of the best ever at that site.
I decided to return to an object I truly love, which I haven't visited for more than 3 years now.
I tried a different framing on it – one which fits better with my own perception of it as a great heavenly sail, facing strong winds…

Agelos, my family (mother's side) is from Thessalonika up north of Greece. Most have been deported and exterminated by the Nazis in WWII long before I was born, but I can tell you that the city and its Greek heart keep living in our minds as if ways never parted...

I am glad you like it. I think that the main reason accountable for the detail is the Ha combined with Lum which underlies the luminance for the image.
