I had a chance the other night to add some RGB to my Ha data. I did a straight Ha = LUM combine for this image and I think it came out fairly decent.

Ha 15*1200 1X1
RGB = 8*360 2X2 per filter
SXVR-H18, SX Wheel, SX OAG, SX ExView Guider
Takahashi FS-60C with FS60 FF
Losmandy Gemini on AP Wood Tripod
AstroDon 5nm Ha and Gen II E Series RGB

Ajay, Mike, Steve, Warren, Mark and JP...... Thanks for looking and taking the time to post. I was rather surprised at how well this little bit of RGB data did with the strong Ha as Luminance!

Thanks Bill. The FS-60C is real sharp in the corners with the dedicated FF installed. The shot in this thread is uncropped. Here is a link to a larger version. Let me know if you want to see more.

Holy cow, that looks amazing! I find Ha-RGB combines can vary in how they need to be processed form object to object, looks like you nailed this one!

Thanks so much Phil. I also find Ha-RGB to be a difficult process. This time it just seemed to come together easier for me. Perhaps it is as simple as repetition finally making it sink in !
