Only negative for me with the Sony DVD player is that it only has composite input. Wish it had Svideo... oh well...

Now, a 2012 version of a SONY 3-digit numbered model:
Adding a close-up shot of the same text, note the Spec and features are almost identical.

Can you tell the difference? :) :)

Also a test, using this displayed text as an example, can you tell why this type of LCD arrangement is more beneficial?

Nytecam, Is this similar to waht you are using?

No Jamie - mine is the ICX429AK Sony Exview interline colour CCD eg same sensor size but larger pixels for 720x580p array.

Interestingly the Starlight Xpress site doesn't mention the colour version of Superstar Autoguider but I understand the mono and colour chips are the same price and, of course, this cam too is suitable for both prime [one-shot colour] imaging and autoguiding another scope :grin:
