What I recall from previous discussions is that they're a 1980's product at prices typical for that era, but not up to date and now hugely overpriced. I would love for you to buy them and prove me wrong though!

I would probably pick these as a budget choice: Garrett® Gemini 15x70 WP-CF Mk II
or else these have had very good comments on this forum: Garrett® Signature 15x70 HD-WP which are very close to the reference standard in this class: the Fujinon® Polaris 16x70 FMT-SX.

For that excellent price I'm sure you will be very pleased. I used a Swift Satellite 20x80, also Japanese made, for many years and always was very pleased with them, and they weren't even fully multicoated. Be sure to give us your detailed impressions once you've used them.

Stargazerfrank, my first big binocular was a Beck 15 x 80; I still have it and continue to be amazed by what it shows, even in 'iffy' skies. Your pleasure is guaranteed!
