You will enjoy it immensely. Have they got one in stock?

Mar and Ray,

Thanks, and I'm sure I will. I've wanted a solar scope for a very long time, but could never come up with the $$ at the right time. Finally!!!

Yes, when I called OPT, Mike said that they had it in stock. It's the only place I could find that does.

dont wanna scare you, but dont be shocked if it shows up to your door with finger prints all over it, and tube shrapnel on the blocking filter.

OPT likes to deliver floor models for a fast sale, and
Lunt doesnt know how to use a vacuum.

<Perhaps a bad experience thats only happened to me, but it did happen :bawling:>

If they pull that one on me, that will be the last time I buy anything from them. For now though, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

How long ago did that happen to you? Maybe Lunt has figured out how to deliver a clean telescope.

I purchased the same model from OPT recently. It arrived in perfect condition. No fingerprints, no dust, no tube shrapnel... pristine.

The only issue I had was this horrible grinding noise from the focuser, when I turned the focusing knob. Which turned out to be the fine-focus knob grinding against the coarse-focus knob, and easily fixed by moving the fine-focus knob out a teensy bit(thanks Rikki).

Hopefully, you'll get a pristine model as well.
