A lot of stars inside this shot... i had a lot of difficults in manage. Happy also to catch the Maffei 2 galaxy .. in the bottom right corner. Anyway this is the result of a magic and so cold night over the italian Alps:

Beautiful. Nice Maffei 2. See a "fish" dark nebula in the upper left corner I've never noticed before. Nice catch.

Leo,

this is a really nice image. It is one of the best I've seen of this region.

Hi Leonardo, excellent as always! I see you chose to image LRGB channels only, not H-alpha which would capture more easily the nebulosity but it is relatively difficult to merge with LRGB data. Probably this is the way to more natural-looking images, could you please tell us more about your choice? Thanks!
Ciao,

Antonio

Thanks to all...

@Antonio ... Ha filter is for narrow band..not all the nebulosity coming from this range of signals .I don't like narrow band, i prefer RGB. LRGB is great way for gain good color and deep signal togheter. But i can mistake.

All the best.

That's a nice one! Really brings out the detail in the nebulosity and portrays stunning contrast with Maffei II.

This very nice Leo!

I like the way you present details in crop images.
Each one looks like a target in itself for close up imaging.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Leo,

great work (come sempre) !!
Perfect star color. I've made the same
object with narrowband, if you are interested,
we can merge both images...

Regards

Immo

Thanks ...

@Immo .. your soul is fantastic ... you loose a lot of details if you merge with mine.
