Hi.

Back from night shift work this morning, I had to benefit the only clear sky window of the day at 8am in a very cold morning at -4ºC but with a strong wind lowering the feel to surely -10ºC. The wind was from north-west and the sun was opposite direction at south-east. My POD did really a great job protecting me from the arctic wind and I was very comfortable during 1 1/4 hour before the seeing get very bad. I've been able to do these three sketches.

Andre.

Andre, always a pleasure. I wish I knew how to discuss the events you're observing, but I can only look on in amazement. Thank you for posting the sun, I have never observed it.

Thank guys. You are so kind. Refreshing comments. I'm so glad I did these skecthes before going to bed because went I woke up in the afternoon at 2:30pm, it was cloudy. The weather model was correct. Tomorrow is supposed to be a very nice sunny day. I'm preparing something new for you guys. Hope I'll be able to do it tomorrow.

Norme. You have never observed the sun !!! Are you serious. Man, you would be amazed to see in my scope what it can deliver. You would be glued to the eyepiece. That would be so much a pleasure to offer you that my friend, but saddely we are too far from each other.

Andre.

That sure is an incredible region in the disk of the second image. The prom is huge! I work a 12 hour graveyard shift, so I know what it's like to come home tired but inspired. These are amazing sketches.

BTW, what exactly is a POD?

Thank you so much Matt taking time to comment. Very kind.

Thanks to you too Jason. A POD, its a Skyshed POD (personal observator dome). You never seen my videos placed on youtube by the designer himself.

Thanks for the information, Andre. I've seen similar items in passing photos before, but wasn't sure if that was what you were referring to. Quite nice.
