Thats a great map Kevin!

The best way to treat moons in my experience is to align on them separately, stack and resample at 2X or possibly more before applying sharpening. At a larger scale you can fine tune the effective psf more easily - too large and wavelets or deconvolution will simply yield an annular ring with a central dark spot. To convince yourself of that create a small circle of mid level gray, gaussian blur it a bit and try to recover using wavelets.
