I have my USB3 Flea3 that I wish to hook up.
Where and what adapter for 1.25 eyepiece holder do I use to keep the camera in place?

Thanks

Do you have an old eyepiece? some electrical tape over the C-mount nose of the Flea3 and the eyepiece barrel will slip right over with a snug friction fit. For a store bought version... I know the Imaging Source has some adapters that thread in.
Cheers

Jon,

You took advantage of that coupon from NEAIC, right? The Color one?
I don't get it..the aperture of the Flea3 is about 2 mm.
How does it fit into 1.25" C thingy?

Mark,

The Flea3 cameras use a C-mount thread, so all you'll need is a 1.25" to C-mount adapter mentioned above. Many of those that you'll find on E-Bay are made of delrin, they'll work but may wear a bit over time. For a few more dollars there are also more robust aluminum models as well. These 1.25" to C-mount adapters are very popular with video cameras used in astronomy.

The opening of a C-mount is 1" ... where do you get 2mm from?

Yes, I did use the coupon, thanks again. I actually haven't had a chance to use the camera yet! Been really covered up at work this year.

I'll post a shot of mine with the nose piece tonight.

Here you go Mark. This is a delrin version just like what I linked to on Ebay above.

Jon

Thanks! I didn't unpackage it until last night. "Mr. Dumas here" I was looking at the 2mm round jack on the back thinking it was the objective. :foreheadslap:

Jon,

I see you ordered the firewire unit with the Global Shutter. I got the USB with a roller shutter. I ordered mine the last day the coupon was good for before it expired.

Yes I did. The USB version is 3.0 and I don't have any 3.0 ports on even my newest laptop. I figured I was better off with an Express Card and Fire Wire 800.

Just ordered the same adapter off Ebay. Next I need a connector for the USB3 and I'll be another step towards the Holy Grail of AP.
