I was outside around 6:50. I had my camera on my tripod getting ready to shoot a wide field of Perseus. I noticed a bright object (where there really shouldn't have been one). I figured it was a plane. There were no flashing lights and it moved kinda slow. So I pressed the remote to snap a pic.

The first is with very little PP. Just a slight adjustment to levels.

The second is levels, HLVG, GradientXTerminator and a final levels.

A single 10 second image.

thoughts....

Almost certainly you've captured a satellite. They litter the night sky around that time.....fun to find and watch.

Agree that it's most likely a satellite with the sun reflecting off it. Which direction was it going? If it was going from N to S then it was most likely a low earth comm satellite, a weather satellite, etc.

Thanks all. Figured it was a satellite. I just never caught the blue color before.

Terry, It was just off Perseus. Looked like it was heading kind of North. Maybe a little more North-North East. It didn't look like it ever flew over Polaris.

AJISAI passed near Perseus at 6:07 p.m. AKARI passed below Perseus quickly heading NE at 7:11 - (it has a shiny blue tailpipe).
