Etx 105 not stopping at home position

Firstly how easy a fix?
Secondly what is the best way to set it up so that it will align if I can't find the exact home position?

If it is a swapped hand controller, leave the clutch unlocked and after about 10 seconds or so, the motor will eventually stop and the Autostar/Audiostar will display a MOTOR FAULT error message. Hit ENTER and the scope should stop, do a short recalibration burst on each motor, the Autostar/Audiostar should then reboot and then all should be fine.
I hope this helps.

Before going to do an align with the clutch off the telescope I can manually spin the telescope through the 360 degrees and keep going. It never catches the at the home position.

How old is the scope?

3 years, yeah used to stop until last night.
Sounds like a broken plastic tab inside!

I have take the base off but the hex needed to take the clutch lever is tiny 0.5m maybe so can't get inside to have a look.

Be careful not to twist up the wires through the Az bearing too much...

Is there any hard stop fix out there I have seen the one on weasner but that looks like a jump of a peg. All the plastic teeth are broken of my disc that goes round the shaft. Both upper and lower metal pegs are in place.
