Pretty new to all this, up until now I have been aligning my 8" sct on Orion Sirius EQ-G using the polar scope and hour angle app. Then I create a goto alignment model with EQMOD/CDC. My question is with Alignmaster, when does it's alignment/error correction setup occur? I am assuming I use it before using CDC to create goto pointing model. Am I correct? Do I setup via alignmaster and correct error before starting up CDC?

thanks in advance..

That's correct; you want a good polar alignment, before you're going to create a pointingmodel. Otherwise your pointingmodel will be invalid.
