Not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I couldn't find a better one.

Just wondering if anyone has an experience setting up their scopes in Francis Marion National Forest, outside of Charleston, SC. Looks to be a huge park and a ton of it is in Blue skies so I'd like to set up shop there one night.

If anyone has any experience here, observing or otherwise I'd love to hear about it.

It is a NATIONAL FOREST not a park....above is the link to their web page. Looks like plenty of places to camp particularly for an eastern National Forest.

Check out dispersed camping links. Also give them a call and talk about viewing locations.

I hear back east you have lots of trees blocking the views.
