I am almost ashamed to show this...but since this thread was re-born...

Not seen are the two small lathes in the background. One is a Unimat and gets used a LOT!

In this pic, it's rather dusty, but this little guy is a truly marvelous small lathe. Crafstman 6x18:

Tim,
they are a great little lathe!, But have you ever tried to turn a 7' lamp post to fit a Jaegger's mount?
Great things those skateboard wheels!
Wow just realised this makes 1000 posts! Only took a few years!

Here is a shot of my machine shop with my favorite lathe, a 1956 Monarch 10EE

I like the Monarch, in New Zealand you dont tend to see them about but I love the look of them. If I had the opportunity then a 10EE would be in my shop as well.

Construction season is almost here and my 6 week layoff is about over. I had to clean the shop so it's a great time for some photos and to point out a few features.

The heart of a shop (I'm more of an amateur tripod maker,BTW) is the table saw. Due to minimal space I wanted an outfeed table that would fold down and the accordion style legs fit the bill. Table is a torsion box and has stayed flat for 3-4 years so far....light and strong!

John,

You could eat from the floor in most of these workshops. I think most of the poster cleaned thoroughly before making these pictures.
Therefore I will NOT post a picture of mine...
