I am trying to image with a GSO 10" newtonian f4 but the stars are not round and the is shadow on the botton left hand of the stars. When I image a bright star I get the normal reflection cross plus some flaring a 11 and 5 0'clock.
The camera is use is a QHY9c fitted with a Baader MPCC corrector placed at 55mm from the chip.
The scope was collimated with a cheshire eyepiece and finished with a laser. The laser has been correctly collimated.
I do not know what is creating this extra spike and I do not know what to look for.
Any help with this would be really appreciated.
Here is a single frame of 5 minutes exposure.
Many thanks for your help.
