seems its not been sold.

$3400 including an AP400QMD mount, ADATRI, and tripod.

so the scope itself is what.. $1600? for an AP triplet?

seems like the deal of the (almost ending) year. or am i mistaken?

triplet - http://physics.mq.ed...A-P_102_f8.html

boggles the mind that people wait for years to get the fabled 130.. but the 102 doesn't rate much attention. it was auctioned but didn't meet reserve.

unless there is something i don't know?

He doesn't have the rings/dovetail pictured. Hopefully he has used the scope. It's a few hours away. Must...

It might be a bit of a challenge to get rid of the mount... or keep it. They go well together. :D

In 2008 these were going for $2500 for the tube alone.

When I sold my 400 QMD it took all of 15 minutes, had multiple full price offers, shouldn't be a problem. It's a great mount for up to a 130 mm scope if one doesn't want goto.

Really. I have a 600QMD that I'm thinking of selling (what with having a Mach1 and all..) but it has decided for now to behave in declination... :tonofbricks:

You buying it Orly?

I'm very tempted, but am looking for a good reason not to buy it. Having it sell out from under me is a good one.

:) The Mach 1 is a great mount and I'd planned on selling my 400 GTO once I had the Mach 1, but it is so much larger than the 400 it doesn't really replace it, offering no better performance for visual use with small scopes at a cost of size and weight.

Adam, no... just bought the Mach1. There are limits to COO forebearance :tonofbricks:

now if someone bought my 600... that would be a possibility. The 600 is not much smaller than the Mach1 so still quite un-handy.

yup. emailed that guy. but i'm far, far away and shipping will be expensive.

also.. i finally received that special Kendall anti-stiction gear oil. lubed up the 600's DEC and it now believes it's a Mach1. hahaha..

actually no, it's not quite a Mach1.. it was instantly obvious when i got the Mach1 and hooked it up to PHD that it was a step above the 600. but the 600 wasn't too shabby (its main failing is declination stiction.. due to having only a sleeve bearing in DEC).
