I have been measuring and imaging double stars for a few years now. I organized these observations on my website.

Very nice and interesting website. I didn't realize you could get two-decimal place accuracy in PA, even with a webcam. Which camera from Imaging Source did you get; and do you suppose they haver a color model that will allow one to shoot >= magn. 8 stars with an f/8 5" apo. ?

thanks again,
OJS

I used a DMK21AU618. Imaging Source makes a color version using the same 618 chip. The color matrix overlay will reduce the CCDs sensitivity. I do not know how much you might lose. I bet you can get down to magnitude 8 using your 5” f/8 even with a color 618 chip.
