I seem to remember that one of the other domes fits the POD base. Was it the 8' Exploradome?

Not exactly. I have an exploradome on pod walls. If doing it again I wouldn't do it. The pod and the exploradome both have their good and less good points. But I'm not sure my frankendome is the best of both worlds like I hoped it would be.

The ED dome does fit on the Pod walls.. all though it needs to be retrofitted because it is slightly larger then the PODs original clam shell dome..

And this may or may not be easy to do depending naturally on how good you are at accomplishing that task... quite a few individuals have made the conversion and most are happy.. Some I guess like gillmj24 were not...

I personally wanted a lot more protection from the elements then any clam shell design offered.

Its darn cold and I'm a baby... That wind really gets nasty late at night when its 30 degrees or lower! :)

I know I can get the visor - just was curious about other options as well.

I've been thinking about doing this. I may also fully automate it with the fosters system.

I have already talked with exploradome/polydome. Their respinse:

There are no instructions really needed. You take 2 – 4 X 8 X ¾” sheets of plywood and cut the od. Circle to 95” then cut the id. Circle to the id of the POD. Take off the wheels screw down the plywood to the top of the POD put some angle brackets down the outside of the POD and out under the plywood.
