Hi All,

Did some searching and did not turn up much... anyone have any opinion/experience? For $299 seems very reasonable price...

Here is the link to manufacturer

...and here is the link to one vendor selling them.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and inputs

I was browsing around for some info on this mount, and couldn't really find much.  Wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

No experience (and I'd prefer to keep it that way!)

I seen the "closeout" and was curious also, but with 1.5" Tripod legs and 7kg capacity  I'd steer clear.  YMMV.

Interesting.  Some other sites have it listed as 11kg weight capacity (http://store.smartas...km2aldudud.html), which is a pretty big difference.

Two years ago I had the oportunity to put my hands on one of those at a store, as I was interested in an alt/az with dual head. Even without weights, only  with hand's force, there was a noticeable play in several axes. Ended up with the ES Twilight II.

Hmmm.  That certainly does not sound like a 20+ lb rated mount.  I think I will steer clear - especially since my scope would be at the upper limit of the higher rating.
