NP, so the gear used with the MSM30 motor (shown in your solution) is that much larger than the brass gear used in the MSM20. Got it!

In an old post you said that you were going to post drawings and dimension. Is that post still around? Thanks.

Cheers,
Dennis

Dennis, I will post the drawing as soon as I get to my other computer. Please bear with me.

This is the gear that should be used with MSM30 motor

It was like the following before the modification, that is without the bronze hub

Sedat, take your time with the drawings. I am just glad that there is such an elegant solution available. My Paramount MX mount just arrived and I have a lot of work to do with it. My observatory will not see first light until spring, but I am building everything indoors first before moving it all outside.

Cheers,
Dennis

Here is the promised dimension drawing:

I had to redo it on the photo. For some strange reason, the original drawing is lost :(

The followers of this thread might also want to have a look at the new thread I have started in the equipment forum.

I have tested the accuracy of the Micro Touch system in combination with the FSQ's stock focuser and put 2 videos together to demonstrate the results.

Hi folks,

Today, I was making a little research for a friend on Starizona website and noticed that they have an off the shelf solution for the FSQ106 and FSQ85 scopes, in line with my solution shown in this thread. I'm very happy with mine since the beginning and will not be buying this new motor but just wanted to share this with you guys.

Cheers
