Ladd Observatory in Providence is open every clear Tuesday night for public observatory. Have you been to the Skyscrapers for any meetings or observing? There is also ASNEE in Rehoboth (check their website).

Yes, I am indeed resurrecting a 2-year-old thread  :p Just found the local astronomy club Skyscrapers in RI which is ideal for a newcomer like me since they have meetings, guest speakers and Saturday night observing sessions, all at Seagrave Memorial Observatory in North Scituate. SkySafari only showed ASSNE in Rehoboth which misled me a bit because it didn't make sense RI didn't have a club. Next intuitive step...Google search...oops should have known  I have an obsession with Saturn lately so it really would be nice to see Saturn's opposition next Friday through a large telescope, but Saturday may have to do and how appropriate, too, on the day named after Saturn

There's also Frosty Drew Observatory at Ninigret Park. Meets every Fri

(Fri and Sat during the summer).
