Hi.

Unexpected clear sky this afternoon according the the weather map. Very good air stability too and very active area on 2nd sketch which show difference from sketch 1st and 2nd. When I came back to this area about 30 minutes later, half proms were gone.

Andre.

:bigshock: That's a very impressive ball of fire, André! The rendering of sun surface is astonishing to say the least! Someone not familiar with your sketching would bet a huge amount of money that it is a photograph!

Thank you so much guys. You are very kind. For some unknow reason, my 4th sketch is 440 kb and CN doesn`t accept it. I don`t understand because all other of the same type are less than 400 kb. I have to figure that.

Hi everyone

Thank you so much my friends. I appreciate.

I thought I would have been able to submit today's january 9th sketches according to the weather maps, but the clouds arrived much faster than forecasted. It was supposed to be clear up to 11am so at 8:45 am I was ready to sketch and 5 minutes later clouds came in moving quite fast from south. So I just been able to observed the nice sunspot visually throught the thin clouds. Hopefully tomorrow would be clear. I would have appreciated a three days sketches in a row as forecasted.

Still not fix the problem with my 4th sketch too large, o go ther to see it.

The northernmost prom in the last image looks like some sort of retro Elk antler shaped Tesla coil. I am always in awe of your drawings and views, Andre. I so hope to view through H-Alpha with an objective larger than 40mm someday. Superb, my friend.

Thanks Jason. I wish you a view in a large scope in a near future. For sure you will be amazed if air stability is excellent.

Spectacular Andre - your depiction of the chromospheric network, prominences, and limb darkening appears wonderfully realistic.

Bob and Peter, thank you so much for your warm comment.

Peter, it seem its your first look at my sketches. I invite you to have a look at some very nice ones I did last december. What your are looking at are number 203, 204 and 205th sketch on this page.

Rest assured that I will, Andre! These drawings make me hungry for more. But I'll have to wait until this evening though because I don't think looking at them with a mobile phone'd do them justice. :D

Cheers,

Peter
