My Triatlas C app (advanced star chart based on Jose Torres work, used with permission) for iOS now available on the app store!
It contains the entire Triatlas C chart, navigation (using the black arrows). Adjustable night vision, mirror, flip, rotate.

This is NOT a planetarium app (like Sky Safari). It's a star/sky atlas adapted for smartphone/tablet with some handy features. I've created because i really missed a simple, high contrast star chart.

I will release a universal app (=this app+iPad layout) shortly, it will contain basic search (NGC, Messier) and a memo recorder)

And it's free! https://itunes.apple...d592681081?mt=8

Like it? Please leave a review on the app store. Thank you!

Great App! I would recommend a + and – tap scenario for zooming in/out of the Triatlas like SkySafari. I find this to be more accurate than pinching. Thanks for listening.

I had the B-chapters downloaded in the PDF-reader, as a compromise between detail and filesize, but after trying your app, I was was happy to exchange the 130MB of pdf-files against the 440MB of the app because of its speed and user-friendliness.

Thank you!

Any particular reason the iPad built-in App Store doesn't have Triatlas? I had to go into my iTunes and access the store from there to download the app.

I see the iPad version as an update to the iPhone version, called 1.1

Downloaded! It seems to run perfectly on my iPad Mini.

I echo the comment that zoom buttons would be a fine, functional addition.

Many thanks!

For what it is worth, I could not get this to work, which was an unhappy state of affairs since I'm waiting for the voice recording functionality. I was running Ios 4. something and it would try to initialize and then crash. I updated to Ios 6. whatever the latest is and it ran fine.

I'm definitely interested in this when it becomes available for Android. I currently have all the PDFs on my tablet, but it's very sssssslllllloooooowwwwww to scroll or zoom.

Just downloaded this to my iPad. What a great job you did with this. Very elegant design and so easy to use. And of course the charts themselves are beautiful. As much as I like Sky Safari Pro, sometimes I just want an atlas.

Thanks so much!

I would still love to see the recorder built into this app. But it is very nice as is.
