After noticing that the inner walls of the baffle tube in my new c6sct became illuminated viewing the moon (not good), i went ahead and orderd some flocking from Protostar. I only needed to cover the section of the tube that did not have machined baffelling. After completing that i discovered the William Optics diagonal 1.25. needed a small piece of baffelling on a section just in front of the eyepiece. Big improvement!!!. The bright inner wall of the baffle are now pitch black. I noticed straight away terestial viewing improvement in contrast. Will let you know how iy goes with Luna soon.

I did the same with my own baffle. I really didn't notice much improvement, but that's not saying there wasn't any. As you say, there is probably nothing wrong with pitch black baffle. I did not think all that scatter was good, especially from the moon.
