I captured this example of atmospheric refraction of the sun while we were on vacation in Michigan over winter break. I was trying to catch some waves breaking in the image (which I got in later images) but this one captured something else.

That is a difficult shot to pull off. Nice, job! The waves are beautiful.

I like how it looks nice and warm, but if you look at the railing, it's covered in 5-10 inches of ice. It was quite a cold day when I took this shot.
